Texas Brand Bank Complete!

We are pleased to share photography from our recently completed project in Deep Ellum. This building, formerly Baker’s Ribs BBQ, was renovated embracing its historic character. A second level was added to provide additional space for bank staff as well as a patio with a fantastic view of downtown Dallas.

The original building was built in the 1940’s but had accumulated layers of paint and stucco, disguising its elegance and simplicity. All of the exterior additions were removed, and the facade was cleaned up to more clearly display the essence of the original building.

As this is the first bank in Deep Ellum, the client’s desire was to provide a unique banking experience, in keeping with the neighborhood. In lieu of typical banking kiosks, customers visiting the bank meet one-on-one with bank staff. The public space includes a generous entry, comfortable seating areas, a hospitality bar, and work space for the banking staff to be out in the open – accessible to visitors. The new staircase was configured to fit within an existing opening in the deck.

Support areas such as staff breakroom, restrooms, and utility rooms are hidden out of sight from the open client space.

The second floor features a large boardroom, additional work space, and an outdoor patio. An elevator was added to provide accessibility to the second level.

The views of downtown from the upstairs patio are magnificent. The second floor provides the bank with an entertainment space for evening activities. Generous overhangs provide shading for the floor to ceiling glass in the summer months.
